Sebastian Schnaubelt is a resident physician at the Department of Emergency Medicine of the Medical University of Vienna, Austria, and is currently obtaining a PhD in clinical research on cardiopulmonary disease. His research focus lies in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and prognostication during and after cardiac arrest, atrial fibrillation in emergency departments and medical education. He is founder of the association Zurück ins Leben which provides CPR-training to refugees and migrants. In the Austrian Cardiac Arrest Awareness Association (PULS), he conducts research on public access defibrillation and improvements in the chain of survival.
